Photographs by Abed Abidat
Pictures of streets, people, moods...
Isography is a neologism invented by the artist, it means "same picture". Abed Abidat repeatedly shot the same picture at different moments. The background, the landscape, and the frame remain the same (streets, markets, train stations, cars...). The artist didn't look for a subject, he waited for it to come. Movement is created through the succession of photographs.
From 9 to 36 pictures are assembled on a single panel, displaying the views shot at the same place and from the same angle. 30 panels constitute a whole series. Isographies invites the viewer to discover the world while standing still.
